Infant Center Program
Our active infant playroom is bright and has a tree shade playing area where exploratory play for crawlers and new walkers take place. The entire infant room is 1200 sq feet and has the capacity for 16 infants, but we only accept 12 infants at a time in make sure we provide quality at all times. Infant development is fostered through use of the Gymboree Curriculum. utilizes floor and lap play techniques to implement the Gymboree goals and objectives of eye, hand, body, language, and cognitive development.
Every baby is fed and changed on demand. Most of all, the director respects the wishes of the parents. The nursery is light, bright, and very clean. We support breast milk babies by providing a subzero freezer storage for our parents to store their infants' milk supply. We make all formula bottles fresh with filtered water that is exclusive to the infant room. Parents have full access by web camera, phone, and in person to their babies. When babies are able to crawl they have a separate playroom from the tummy time infants. When babies turn into strong walkers, self feeding and drinking, and parents are ready then babies move into the small toddler program.
Young Child Program
Children take great leaps toward independence and learning techniques for self control in an active & loving environment. We believe children need hugs & love and encouragement as the explore and grow.
We believe that safety includes cleanliness and quality food. We extensively clean our academy day and night - ask us about this when you come in for a tour. We also adhere to the special food allergies needs of each and every person in the academy as part of our daily services.
It is our sincere desire for every child who leaves the academy to be academically, socially, and emotionally ready to be at the top of their peers in Kindergarten or First Grade.
Circle Time - calendar, weather, Spanish, sign language, stretching, singing, review of previous lesson(s), and preparation for today's activities. Painting Easel - for mass motor skill work with letters, number, scale and directions.
Math Center - sorting by color, counting objects, feeling the shape of a number, and seeing the relationship of it all.
Language Arts - example "The Story of a Pumpkin Seed" where student sort, order, and create a story from beginning to end to make their own book.
Sensory Lesson Example - using plastic buckets and professional sensory table, students learn through feeling and imagining..in this example the children painted after feeling objects in a large quantity of candy corn.
Science Center Preparation - the students cut out or use pre-cut shapes (depending on skill ability) to complete the design of a wagon, then the children glued the shapes to complete the picture, after they took an actual wagon outside to pick pumpkins from the playground.
